Description g11024342@trbvm.com 2007-06-11 11:33:52 UTC
Being able to use a Search Folder to include mails marked as Follow-Up, but not those marked completed.

Other information:
In Outlook, you can create a Favorite Folder containing only those mails that you have marked as Follow-Ups. Once you complete a follow-up, the mail disappears from this folder. This is a very nice feature that enables you to easily keep track of what you have completed and not.

In Evolution, you can do the same with Search Folder but with one huge difference, even though you have marked a follow-up as completed, it is still listed in this search folder. I cannot filter out those who are completed. This severely handicaps this feature making it not useful.

Proposed change:

Tagging a mail as Follow-Up should be possible to do the same way as you can mark an email as important. Just a click on the mail in the Follow-Up column in the main view.

Untagging a mail could be done the same way.

Tagged mails would preferably be highlighted in some way. In Outlook, you can see that it changes to a red background color in the Follow-Up column.

Search Folders filters should include a feature that enables to to filter only those tagged as Uncompleted Follow-Ups.

The way to use this is you read through all your emails and when you read something that's important you flag it as a Follow-Up and you can later see all your uncompleted Follow-Ups in a Search Folder.

Reid, it does. If you set up the filter as you show you get my wanted functionality. Evolution 2.12 is the shit :)

Can someone please close this bug...
