GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 445557
anti-erase doesn't respect transparency toggle
Last modified: 2007-06-13 18:51:39 UTC
Introduce transparency to an image by erasing or selection edit/clear or cut or via mask. Toggle Transparency in the Layers Dialog to lock the newly transparent area. Use the eraser toggled to anti-erase on that transparent image area. I expected that it should not re-expose the erased or cleared or cut areas. It did anti-erase. While it makes no sense that I was trying to do this, it also makes no sense that it does do this.
This bug report makes no sense. Even if it would make sense it would be closed as we don't accept any further reports from Carol.
Please, get some sleep, or a beer or some meds or whatever it is that you need to leave me alone. Stop closing these things before you look into them. I have attached an xcf that demonstrates what I tried to explain.
Created attachment 89632 [details] image that demonstrates the problem
This is a bug. If transparency is locked, the user should be able to expect that no changes to transparency do happen.
Carol should finally leave us alone, she is a steady threat to GIMP development and we will not accept any bug reports from her. I have told her this and she should respect this decision. I will now bring this up on the mailing-list and eventually ask the Bugzilla admins to cancel her account or at least to block it for all GIMP projects. Michael, could you open a new bug report for this, please.
Ass kissers only.
