Description Eric 2007-06-02 00:50:25 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I cannot delete a soft link to a directory. When I try, I get an error dialog that says:

Error: "Not on same file system" while deleting "/home/eric/...x Software".
Would you like to continue?

Steps to reproduce:
1. Plug in my external USB hard disk.
2. Create a soft link from a folder on my root partition to a folder on the external hard disk.
3. Try to delete the soft link.

Actual results:
Nautilus displays an error message.

Expected results:
Nautilus should delete the soft link.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

Other information:
The external USB hard disk is encrypted using LUKS and the filesystem is NTFS mounted read-write with the ntfs-3g driver. My distro is Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn.
