GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 441890
Cache results for offline use
Last modified: 2020-11-07 12:26:09 UTC
[ Forwarded from http://bugs.debian.org/426324 ] "It would be nice if the gnome weather applet could cache weather information and more importantly forecasts, which is very important for laptop users and other people with intermittent network access."
+1 --- It would be nice to open the laptop lid and check sunset time, temp data, forecast etc. without having to turn on the cable modem, the firewall, plug in, and all that. It shows the "last updated" time so I know how current it is. No reason to remove the current report if user clicks update and server cannot be reached.
bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all old feature requests in Bugzilla which have not seen updates for many years. If you still use gnome-applets and if you are still requesting this feature in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-applets/-/issues/ Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry it could not be implemented.
