GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 43985
Mozilla appends a ? to unusual urls in softcat
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
The mozilla component seems to be appending a ? to long softcat urls. I have no ide why this is happening. To reproduce type the following url in the location bar in nautilus and in netscape 4.x. http://services.eazel.com:8888/catalog/details?id=14&name=Text+Editors&package_id=1905 Netscape handles it fine but nautilus does not. ------- Additional Comments From pepper@eazel.com 2000-10-24 15:06:09 ---- This might be a gnome-vfs problem. It looks like (from the apache logs) that nautilus / gnome-vfs is encoding complex urls and sending them to the web server which is the wrong behavior. ------- Additional Comments From pepper@eazel.com 2000-10-24 15:06:53 ---- *** Bug 43989 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** ------- Additional Comments From bud@eazel.com 2000-10-25 13:24:04 ---- The user behaviour is not mentioned, but I suspect this can cause problems. Needs to be investigated. ------- Additional Comments From ramiro@fateware.com 2000-10-25 22:43:55 ---- This is actually a dup of bug 44019 which Darin fixed yesterday. Marking dup of 4019. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 44019 *** ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-09-09 20:46 ------- The original reporter (pepper@eazel.com) of this bug does not have an account here.
