GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 433756
Doesn't allow me to add all the folders I want for searching
Last modified: 2007-04-27 20:49:35 UTC
Please describe the problem: I have two separate partitions on two disks, one named /data and the other /data2. I put in /data to search and then go to add /data2 and I get "The selected path wasn't added. The list contains items that supersedes it and the data is already being indexed." There are no symbolic links that I know of. It hasn't finished indexing yet, but much of it seems to have been indexed and nothing from data2 shows up. If I add data2 and then data it says that data supersedes it and will replace it in the list. Steps to reproduce: 1. I just try and add /data2 to the list of folders to search. (I know, it might be hard for you to reproduce. If you want more information I'll be happy to provide it.) 2. 3. Actual results: I get the error message The selected path wasn't added. The list contains items that supersedes it and the data is already being indexed." Expected results: It just gets added as a folder to be searched. Does this happen every time? yes Other information:
