In GMC, if you drag an icon from the panel to the desktop, a new launcher is
created.  If you try do this in Nautilus, you find out you can't.  In order to
duplicate all the functionality of GMC, we need to,

1) Read the .desktop file, convert it to a symlink and add the appropriate
pixmap information to the desktop .nautilus-metafile.xml file, or

2) Create a NautilusLink from the .desktop and re-allow renaming of
NautilusLinks.
