Description Dennis Schäfers 2007-04-11 13:59:10 UTC
It would be great if the future evolution IMAP support allow me to display the "INBOX.trash", "INBOX.sent", etc. on the same level in the treeview like the INBOX folder. Evolution should detect "INBOX.sent", etc. and use an internal label for it and should shown the right icon for it. Local/vFolder(?) Trash/Spam Folders should not be displayed on an IMAP-Account. Many people reported bugs about the whole "IMAP+namespace+pathprefix"-stuff. There are bug-reports (gnome-bugzilla, etc.), forum-/maillinglist-entries from the year 2005 till today, so this issue is annoying people for years now...

I'm going to second this. Multiple IMAP folder should provide an option to aggregate inboxes and trash into the "On This Computer" section. Under IMAP, this area is unused.

It would give the user a single place to review all incoming messages. A column could be provide to show the IMAP source for each of the messages.

I want this too. I have only one email account (IMAP on gmail) But I have 3 trash folders. It might be a good idea to start gathering the other reports Dennis Schafers is referring to and mark them as duplicates of this if possible?

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
