GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 422347
RFE: improving support for the colorblind
Last modified: 2007-06-04 14:43:07 UTC
When the magnifier is started with -fz 1 only one quarter of the screen is showed. When the control-client program is called with the 'B' option (to go throw the colorblind filters) it's change the magnifier window size to occupy half of the screen. The disered behavior is to have the magnifier show the entirely screen when used as -fz 1 and that control-client doesn't change the screen size if it's already mapped. This thread is a RFE to correct these issues and also to make the colorblind support in gnome-mag better.
Created attachment 85226 [details] [review] this patch makes the ROI bee the entirely screen when using -fz 1 and also makes control-client NOT change the magnifier window size when it's already mapped This patch correct the initial issues presented by this thread, but this RFE will still opened, since we think that more issues will rise until we have a good colorblind support in gnome-mag.
Created attachment 87023 [details] [review] this patch add the possibility to contro if the cursor will be drawed in a ZoomRegion or not
Comment on attachment 87023 [details] [review] this patch add the possibility to contro if the cursor will be drawed in a ZoomRegion or not This is good for the colorblind filters, since it's usefull to use the magnifier with 1x magnification rate and the X server pointer is more responsible.
Created attachment 87024 [details] This is a screen-shot of gnome-mag running the Hue Shift Negative filter.
Created attachment 89293 [details] [review] patch to support the colorblind applet sources
Created attachment 89295 [details] this is the colorblind-applet code This is the colorblind applet code (a folder called colorblind) that must be uncompressed in the main magnifier directory.
This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
