Description Shaun McCance 2007-03-19 17:41:16 UTC
I've recently been reviving the gnome-devel-docs module, which contains documentation for people developing against our platform. The goal is to get everything in one place, so that we can ensure the documents are found, maintained, proof read, and released. An outline of what I'd like to get into gnome-devel-docs is here:

http://live.gnome.org/DeveloperGuides

Currently, it contains the Platform Overview, the GDP Style Guide, and the GDP Handbook. I've contacted the usability team about moving the HIG as well.

I've recently made an initial release, found here:

http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/sources/gnome-devel-docs/

It should be pointed out, though, that even there there's only been one very recent release, these documents have existed for quite some time.

Shaun: probably I'm reporting in the wrong place but seems there is a version mismatch between your release and the version coded at gdp-handbook.xml

$ grep "ENTITY version"  gdp-handbook.xml
<!ENTITY version "1.0.2">

Go to

and add at least one component. I have created gnome-devel-docs-maint@gnome.bugs for you to use as default assignee/qacontact. Remember to add that address to your watch list at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email.
