Hhhm. Having taken a look at this code I can't obviously see how this crash could occur except if the tree that that gmenu_tree_ref is invoked on is something completely different to what it should me. And having looked back through the code path it seems that it is the object that pygmenu_tree_directory_get_tree is acting on that could be wrong. Bit stumped :-/
