GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 419393
Please have window pop-up upon call
Last modified: 2007-03-19 21:26:52 UTC
This bug was reported to the Debian BTS. http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=412604 "When I get an incoming call and my speakers are off, I cannot tell if someone is trying to call me. The program window will tell me someone is trying to call, but only if it is in the same workspace as the one I am using. Perhaps setting the window as "urgent" (window flashes in the panel) or doing something else that will get my attention when I have an incoming call will be helpful."
But that won't help if the user shut his monitor off...
I checked it and it sets the URGENT hint. But it doesn't work for me (and also not for you, it seems). I'll investigate. J.
It's kind of fixed in HEAD. Ekiga now sets the URGENT hint on the main-window (!) when the dialog pops up, and re-sets it, when the main-window gets the focus (switching to it and clicking the dialog). Closing, but please report back. J.
