Ubuntu 6.10 german version.

Got a pdf as attachment to an email.
pdf opens and plays imbedded sound well in windows.

In Ubuntu neither Evince (default-viewer) nor Adobe Reader can play the sound. Text and images can be seen without problems.

I got a similar error message by Adobe reader: "plugin required by this 'Sound' action is not available", ubuntu 6.06 i386 desktop, gnome 2.14.3

no comments on similar questions in the adobe reader forum of adobe.

and yes, evince does also not play the sound

Yes, sound is not supported yet in evince.

And what about the Adobe Reader itself? It also didn't work there, but when the bug was filed there was no Adobe Reader product section available.
