GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 409368
crash in Deskbar: I Control+Backspaced to ...
Last modified: 2007-02-18 19:42:05 UTC
What were you doing when the application crashed? I Control+Backspaced to kill the xserver because I just updated my xorg.conf configuration. I logged in back into my gnome-desktop. I have the deskbar with an edit-field (not a button) in the panel. It might have something to do with the fact I use a different gtk2-engine now (murrine) .. After the bug-buddy bug-report has been sent, I immideately did a `killall gnome-panel`. Then the actionbar(deskbar) get its own window: still did not work I did another `killall gnome-panel` and then it worked.. I'll try to login and log back out .. to see if its a recurring thingie..
Its recurrent. With a logout and login. I suspect its the tracker-backend. The deskbar crashes when the tracker-backend is not yet running. And since I just login to my session it takes a little while before that deamon is running (i suspect) I might be totally off, but it seems like this.
It does not occur when the tracker-backend is turned off!
