GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 409111
Keyboard Shortcuts Not Working With Fullscreen Games
Last modified: 2007-02-18 00:13:50 UTC
Please describe the problem: When a game is in fullscreen keyboard shortcuts defined in gnome-keybinds-properties are not working. I know it's maybe gnome-specific but i didn't know where to put this in. It's very annoying when you a playing games and can't minimize them or tuning the sound's volume up or down. Steps to reproduce: 1. Start a fullscreen game like BZFlag 2. Try to press a shortcut like ALT + TAB 3. Get depressed Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Yes Other information: german thread: http://forum.ubuntuusers.de/viewtopic.php?p=586635 launchpad: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/metacity/+bug/63245
This is because the games grab the keyboard and/or mouse, causing X to not even notify metacity whether keypresses are occurring. Fixing this basically means that X will need to be modified. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 344059 ***
