What were you doing when the application crashed?
browsing SMB shares. went into local workgroup, the two computers were listed but icons looked like text files (the .desktop files were not fully loaded it seems). pressed reload and nautilus crashed.

thanks for your efforts, the stacktrace looks very good!
this is the same stacktrace as the one in bug 363582, which is the same bug as
bug 348161. therefore marking as duplicate.
