Please describe the problem:
The current glade icon is a globe that is on fire. ;) and only comes in one size, therefore getting blurry on the menus and on the window list. It is also inconsistent with the rest of the icons on the desktop regarding color and style.

New icon

Should be installed in ~/icons/hicolor/apps
Comment 2 Andreas Nilsson 2007-02-06 12:53:13 UTC
Err...the correct place to install them is:
$prefix/share/icons/hicolor/$size/apps

Sorry for that.
Comment 3 Vincent Geddes 2007-02-07 01:07:19 UTC
Many thanks. We like the design and the metaphor. I have committed the icons to the repository.

        * data/icons/hicolor/: Added new application icon, in sizes 16x16,
	  22x22, 32x32, 48x48, and scalable.

        * data/icons/glade-3.png: Removed.

Sorry for the late reply, but... Andreas, don't you think the icon could be more readable, at small sizes, without the paper sheet on background?

Comment 5 Andreas Nilsson 2007-02-22 14:14:59 UTC
I think it works pretty ok even at 16x16. Do you mean we should just show a ruler?
Sure, we could always improve stuff, but I think that will need to wait to 2.20.

Are we in "icon freeze"?

Comment 7 Tristan Van Berkom 2007-02-26 14:46:36 UTC
I dont see how changing an icon breaks any kind of freeze, its not
a feature and so doesnt need to be documented, its not a string
so it doesnt need to be translated - introducing the icon is not a risk
of introducing new bugs either.
Comment 8 Andreas Nilsson 2007-02-27 13:28:31 UTC
In that case it should be ok.
Luca, feel free to draw away!

No hope by now. After the sting freeze I'm all for Italian localization :)
