Version: 2.10.x

Multiple instances. Evolution gives you the ability to open two instances. However, the .evolution folder is locked by the one that opened first. Other applications such as Outlook will not let you open multiple instances.

Distribution: Ubuntu 7.04 (feisty)
Gnome Release: 2.17.90 2007-01-23 (Ubuntu)
BugBuddy Version: 2.17.3

multiple instances on the same computer work fine for me, no locking. anything i miss?
Comment 2 DaveWalker 2007-02-13 23:20:59 UTC
Why does evolution allow you to open multiple instances of evolution, there is simply no need. I am not talking about multiple windows, i'm talking multiple evolution applications.

When the second instance is opened, no emails show. Therefore i assume that this is because there is some locking taking place.
