Hmm... Our bug-buddy apparently punts gthumb bugs to the upstream Bugzilla. Just in case, release is gthumb-2.7.9-1.fc7 (I'm on our current development tip on this laptop).
If you have fc7, get gthumb 2.9.1 from the repos. Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. This is fixed in 2.8.x and 2.9.x, available at http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/sources/gthumb/2.8/ and http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/sources/gthumb/2.9/.
