Description Sebastien Bacher 2007-02-03 14:37:09 UTC
That bug has been described on https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/70036

"Binary package hint: evolution

Dear developers,

while it is possible to transform an e-mail into a task it is unfortunatelly not possible to transform an e-mail into a calender item. Why? Many people send dates without using ICAL attachments. For such situations it would be convenient to have an easy way to transform such e-mails to calender items in a semi-automated manner (times etc. have naturally to be adjusted manually, however the e-mail content + attachments should be transfered automatically).

Thank you and best regards,
Dominik"

what about the mail-to-meeting plugin ? Is it enabled on Ubuntu ?
Comment 2 Dominik Kuropka 2007-10-01 14:25:41 UTC
Unfortunatelly this is still an issue with Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon Beta :-(
Comment 3 Matthew Barnes 2008-03-11 00:32:53 UTC

Comment 4 Akhil Laddha 2009-11-17 10:56:56 UTC
Could you please try in current stable 2.28.x and report back. Evolution has create an event option on right click pop up.
Comment 5 Akhil Laddha 2009-12-31 05:03:45 UTC
Please feel free to reopen the bug if the feature doesn't work as you expect it with a newer version of GNOME 2.28.2 or later, thanks.
