Description John Sullivan 2001-09-10 00:44:31 UTC
If you bring up the Set Properties window and turn on all the
properties/keywords for an icon, the little emblems march around the border of
the icon. At the corners they sometimes overlap, depending on the icon size. For
example, at standard zoom level, if you turn on all the keywords for a folder
you'll see overlap around both normal-theme and Eazel-theme folder icons.

It would be easy to tweak the routine that lays out the icons so they don't
overlap in the corners. I think it's a simple mistake.

Setting all bugs to P6 to start official bug-prioritization plan. Please don't
set the priority to anything other than P6 unless you've got the gold seal of
approval for doing so.

Comment 3 Luis Villa 2002-10-31 13:10:09 UTC
Yeah, still present here. Not just at corners, either- in 2.1.x, at
least, it appears to follow no logical order and overlap all over.
Comment 4 Luis Villa 2002-11-07 19:45:21 UTC
Apologies for the spam- I'm removing 'bugsquad' from some keywords via the web
interface. This is a one-time only thing before I re-add bugsquad via the SQL
interface, which will generate no mail. Apologies again.
Comment 5 Aschwin van der Woude 2003-05-02 17:29:47 UTC
This behaviour still exists in version 2.2.3

Still exists, bumping Version.
Comment 8 Vincent Noel 2005-07-14 17:50:02 UTC
This is still present in nautilus 2.11.5.
Comment 9 Emmanuel Fleury 2008-11-16 22:02:27 UTC
It couldn't see it anymore on 2.20.0 and further. Does somebody still see it ??? Or, maybe, should this issue be tagged as 'OBSOLETE' ?
Comment 10 Emmanuel Fleury 2008-11-16 22:10:35 UTC
Sorry, I still see overlap... Still there in 2.20.0.
Comment 11 André Klapper 2011-08-11 11:53:50 UTC
[Bumping version as per last comment]

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
However, you are using a version that is too old and not supported anymore. GNOME developers are no longer working on that version, so unfortunately there will not be any bug fixes for the version that you use.

By upgrading to a newer version of GNOME you could receive bug fixes and new functionality. You may need to upgrade your Linux distribution to obtain a newer version of GNOME.
Please feel free to reopen this bug if the problem still occurs with a newer version of GNOME.

Note: emblem functionality has been removed from nautilus. This program https://github.com/agonzalezro/gnome3-emblems restores this functionality. Please file bugs there if you encounter any
