GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 399145
Files greater than 4gb are ignored
Last modified: 2008-12-05 08:27:34 UTC
Please describe the problem: When I want to burn a dvd that should contain a file greater than 4gb, nautilus-cd-burner does not show any error message but simply burns the cd and does not add the file to it. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open the location burn:/// in nautilus 2. Add a file larger than 4 gb to the disc, maybe also add some small files 3. Click on "Write to disc" 4. In order to not waste a dvd medium, choose File Image as target 5. Open the image using file-roller Actual results: The application writes the image / dvd within a very short time. When you open it with file-roller (in case of an image) or with nautilus (in case of the disc), you can see that all files except those larger than 4gb were written. Expected results: I expect from nautilus-cd-burner that it either writes the files if the standard allows it (I don't know the maximum file size of future formats like hd-dvd and bluray) or to abort the writing process with an error messag. Does this happen every time? The bug occurs every time. Other information:
