GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 398224
Don't put up an error message when a server is unavailable
Last modified: 2007-12-09 00:34:50 UTC
Evolution 2.8.1, Ubuntu 6.10 Whenever I'm out of range of a wireless network (e.g. when I'm on a plane), Evolution puts up an error alert of the form: "Host lookup failed: imap.example.com: Temporary failure in name resolution". This is annoying and unnecessary. When an incoming mail server is unavailable for any reason, it should be indicated as such in Evolution's accounts/folders pane, with an icon you can click on for an explanation if you really need one.
