I have noticed why rhythmbox crashes.

My OS in mandriva 2007.0.
I have my music stored on an external hard disk,
(a western digital passport, 120GB, usb2.0).

For some reason, mandriva loses the hard disk and
the device name changes from /dev/sdb1 to /dev/sdc1.
This can happen a couple of times a day.

But when this happens rhythmbox crashes.

I tried to install rhythmbox from source,
but am getting too many errors during compliation.

There is no debug packages for rhythmbox on mandriva 2007.0.

This was actually a GStreamer problem, and was fixed in GStreamer 0.10.10.
