Description Ittai Balaban 2007-01-04 21:11:16 UTC
Please describe the problem:
The "Loading" screen, while evince is loading a new page, makes presentations unpleasant, and downright impossible when animation is involved.
Some sort of double-buffering, or even just XPDF's behavior (which doesn't double-buffer, but doesn't do the "Loading" thing), would solve this.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Load a multi-page PDF, preferrably one with complicated rendering
2. Switch to "Presentation Mode"
3. Switch from one page to another

Actual results:
On page transitions, the previous page is cleared, a big "Loading" sign is displayed until the new page renders

Expected results:
The previous page should stay displayed, and overwritten quickly when the new page is ready to be rendered

Does this happen every time?
Usually with complex PDF's
