Description Richard Heck 2006-11-28 17:51:36 UTC
The preference "Fit Image to Window" seems not to work properly for me. When it is checked, it shrinks images larger than the screen but no longer enlarges images smaller than the screen. This, I thought, was the behavior expected from "Fit to Window if Larger".

This is using 2.8.0 compiled from source on FC6.

It works for me (on FC5).

Are you sure you have the right mode set ("Fit Image to Window" versus "Fit to Window if Larger")?

Comment 2 Richard Heck 2006-11-28 18:57:40 UTC
OK, sorry. I left out something important, namely, that this problem arises when I'm in full-screen mode. If I hit the "image" button, then I get the expected behavior.

By the way, this worked fine before I upgraded to FC6 from FC3. I don't know what version of gthumb I was then using. Probably 2.4.2. I'll compile that from source and see what happens.
Comment 3 Michael Chudobiak 2006-11-28 19:00:43 UTC
Oh, that's fixed in 2.9.0. Bug 321840. Try installing from CVS HEAD if it bugs you.
