GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 378464
Task buttons randomly resize
Last modified: 2007-01-15 11:07:06 UTC
Please describe the problem: When opening new applications which have an associated button selector in the window list panel, the width of the button changes unexpectedly. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open one program (eg. Firefox) and take note of the size of the button in the window list panel (at the bottom of the screen by default) 2. Open another program (eg. Terminal). Actual results: The width of two task buttons are smaller than when only one program was open and do not make effective use of the available width of the window list panel. Example below. Stars represent a clickable button on the window list panel, underscores represent empty space on the panel. One program running in the window list panel: _***********________________________________ Two programs running in the window list panel: _*****_*****________________________________ Expected results: The size of buttons on the window list panel should remain constant until the entire space of the panel is used, at which point they should resize equally to fit. Expected output of two programs runnin in the window list panel: _***********_***********____________________ Does this happen every time? Yes Other information: Ubuntu Edgy.
