GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 366176
crash in Time and Date: starting time and date u...
Last modified: 2006-10-29 08:34:14 UTC
Version: 2.15.5 What were you doing when the application crashed? starting time and date under system/admin. I just installed ntp and ntp-simple packages. Unsure if it worked prior to that. Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Unfortunately, that stack trace is missing some elements that will help a lot to solve the problem, so it will be hard for the developers to fix that crash. Can you get us a stack trace with debugging symbols? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so. Thanks in advance!
Here is the more recent bugbuddy crash info after installing the package gnome-system-tools-dbgsym. I hope this is what you need, this is my first time reporting a bug. Also, tmegee at cqmail dot net and I are the same person, Im in the process of changing addresses. ----- Distribution: Ubuntu 6.10 (edgy) Gnome Release: 2.16.1 2006-10-02 (Ubuntu) BugBuddy Version: 2.16.0 Memory status: size: 51933184 vsize: 0 resident: 51933184 share: 0 rss: 10858496 rss_rlim: 0 CPU usage: start_time: 1162063902 rtime: 0 utime: 19 stime: 0 cutime:16 cstime: 0 timeout: 3 it_real_value: 0 frequency: 0 Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/time-admin' Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libthread_db.so.1". Thanks for the good stacktrace, Todd! :) Are you by any chance using the "dropline neu" icon theme? Please feel free to add any additional details you can to bug 363194. Thanks. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 363194 ***
I am using the human icon theme. Also, as mentioned in the other bug that this is a duplicate of, I was unable to run it as root using the "sudo time-admin" command.
