Description Nicole 2006-10-27 12:31:32 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I'm not sure if I listed this under the correct area. When using Gimp, I get trails behind the tool/cursor. When I minimize the canvas and bring it back up they're gone. But it does it the whole time I'm drawing, and is very distracting. Also, it only does this on my computer at work. I have it downloaded on my home computer and it works great! I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, but it didn't fix the problem.

Steps to reproduce:
1. I don't know.
2.
3.

Does this happen every time?

What GTK version is that?
What OS are you on?
What Graphics card and what driver are you using?
Are the trails only on the empty area outside the actual image?

I'm using 2.2.13
I have XP.
My graphic card is: Rage 128 Pro ULTRA GL AGP
And no, it shows up everywhere:

Copy of mouse trails

This is a copy of a screen shot that shows the dot/trails that the mouse leave behind.

I see, yery ugly :(

This is definitely some driver problem, there is nothing we can do about
it, sorry. You can try any of the following:

- Up/Downgrading your graphics driver
- Get an alternative driver
- Change the acceleration settings to be less aggressive
- Tell the driver to not accelerate (or accelerate?) "NOT" operations
(given such an esoteric setting is available).

Closing as NOTGNOME.
