What were you doing when the application crashed?
booted 6.10BETA desktop install disk
Used GParted to custom partition disk
Started Desktop Install
in "Where are you" page, selected "Los Angeles" in city list
Clicked "Set Time..." button
in "Time and Date Settings " dialog, clicked "Set TIme..." button
Crash! 
 (Now having trouble with mouse, also -- clicks are ignored -- can navigate only by ctrl-tab
