When im watching this HD-video from www.apple.com/trailers i only get sound out of my left speaker.

Same here. Looks like we get the number of channels wrong in faad (qtdemux claims 6, faad 8) and then downmixing is messed up.

I could swear there's a bug for this already, but I can't find it right now. Anyway, moving to GStreamer.

Ah, found it: pretty sure it's the same issue as bug #345756.
