Thanks for the bug report. Unfortunately, that stack trace is not very useful in determining the cause of the crash. Can you get us one with debugging symbols? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so.
Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 351603 ***
I am unable to figure out which debugging packages I need. I did however, figure out that this bug has got something to do with the icon package I am using (dropline neu) from art.gnome.org
Hmm, the g-s-t issue is supposed to be fixed already. What makes you believe this to be related to your icon theme? Thanks for your efforts! :)
If I select a different icon theme, I can open and use time-admin just fine. The same is true for opening it with "gksudo time-admin". I have made a launcher of "gksudo time-admin" on my panel, so I am able to use it to sync the time (I have to do this at every boot as my BIOS battery died).
Could you get us a stacktrace of that crash with debugging symbols? See http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces/DistroSpecificInstructions for details. However, in case the crash is specific to one particular icon theme, that would be a different bug -- and probably not being tracked in GNOME bugzilla.
Sorry, I am dist-upgrading right now with the graphical interface and it does not allow the user to stop it. I will install the gnome-system-tools-dbgsym package as soon as the dist-upgrade is complete (approximately 1 and a half hour)
Created attachment 74937 [details] Backtrace from bug-buddy Had a power outage in my city today and then I had to go to school so I could not do this earlier. I am attaching the backtrace I got from bug-buddy.
Nice trace. I assume this is the crash you nailed down to be related to the icon theme? If so, could you please file a new bug report, outlining the details and adding that stacktrace to the original description (just paste the entire stacktrace)? According to the stacktrace (unique so far), this seems to be a different issue. Thanks!
Submitted the bug with bug id 363194
Great! Thanks. :)
