Description Jeroen van de Nieuwenhof 2006-10-14 14:00:53 UTC
Please describe the problem:
The people over at #inkscape told me it was a problem with Pango, so i'll post the bugreport here. I've downloaded several fonts, like the top one from this site: http://www.dsg4.com/04/extra/bitmap/index.html. I've put them in my /usr/share/fonts folder and in programs like Sodipodi and The Gimp i can use the font like it should. However in Inkscape i can see the font in the dialog, but when i select it and apply it to the selected text, the font jumps back to the default font. There's no way i can use the downloaded font on my Inkscape files.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Download a font from the url: http://www.dsg4.com/04/extra/bitmap/index.html. And put the file in the font folder.
2. Load Inkscape
3. Try to use the font on a text.

Actual results:
The font isn't used, instead the default font is used.

Expected results:
The new font is used.

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Other information:
I don't have much knowledge of fonts and graphics, so if i posted at the wrong place or didn't give the right information, i'm sorry.
