Description Sebastien Bacher 2006-10-08 21:43:25 UTC
That bug has been opened on https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/64697

" Description (edit)

I'm running the latest edgy x86.

Steps to repeat:
1) Open rhythmbox.
2) Plug in iPod
3) Click on iPod in rhythmbox source list
4) Click View... Browse. This will open the browser view.
5) Click on Track. This will organize the song list by track numbers.
6) Close rhythmbox.
7) Open rhythmbox.
8) Click on iPod in source list.
9) Notice how browse mode is disabled, and songs are not listed by track.

It is very annoying to have to reset the view settings on every start up on rhythmbox.

Except I just realised that is only for playlists. Hmm, not sure where to store state for transient sources/removable media? Probably plugin gconf keys i.e.

/apps/rhythmbox/plugins/ipod/show_browser
/apps/rhythmbox/plugins/ipod/sorting

etc.?
