GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 360717

Last modified: 2009-02-21 22:00:33 UTC
Version: 2.16.0 What were you doing when the application crashed? Closing a Tomboy note, which would switching focus to epiphany. The only page opened in Epiphnay was a local html file with a lot of JavaScript (see TiddlyWiki.com). There is another bug I reported*, maybe it could be considered a duplicate. Sorry, I didn't disable any plugins yet. * Bug Buddy makes it incredibly convenient to report crashes; Gentoo has a "bug reporting guide" which tells us how to generate (hopefully!) significant backtraces. Nice combination! Thanks for the bug report. Looks like the sidebar extension is involved in the crash...
I'm not sure it helps, but currently I have no defined sidebar; at the time of bug 359736 I had a http://bugs.gentoo.org sidebar, IIRC.
Reporter, does the problem still occur?
It didn't happen again, unless we count with bug 359736, which is another crash I experienced with Epiphany Web Bookmarks.
Marking OBSOLETE, then. Please feel free to reopen this bug if it happens again with 2.18.
*** Bug 572671 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
It looks like the problem is still unsolved, but as the mozilla backend is going away I'm not reopening this bug. I suggest removing the sidebar extension from e-e completely.
