Description Nicolas Mailhot 2006-10-08 12:58:42 UTC
totem does not auto-crop black bands around video.

TV stations add black bands over and below 16:9 videos so they have a 4:3 aspect.
When one tries to display such a stream with totem on a 16:10 computer screen (via pvr150 or friends), totems adds two new bands right and left instead of auto-cropping the station additions. (simplifying the situation, you also have a station logo overflowing over the black bands)

The end result is a thick black frame around the content, even though it actually has the same ratio aspect as the screen.
