Description Pavel 2006-09-28 01:10:47 UTC
Based on discussion in bug 357981 I open this one:

Pan doesnt seem to recognize that access to a server is denied and happily hammers it. Typically, this results of hundreds/thousands of events of type

Thu Sep 28 02:33:13 2006 - Error: 502 Permission denied

The event log doesnt give more details so i wasnt able to tell on which server this occured but the typical reasons are these

- bad login/pasword set when adding the server
- users login/password has been disabled (temporalrly, i.e. because of exceeding download limits, or permanently, i.e. spamming, closing an open server, etc.)

Suggested behavior:
- when this happens, warn user and disable the server it had problems on, event. ask user what to do.
