GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 357089
[PATCH] Snippets: snippets file for DocBook
Last modified: 2019-03-23 20:46:45 UTC
Attaching a snippets file for DocBook. This depends on Gedit recognizing DocBook files.

Great work! I don't think docbook has a language spec yet in gtksourceview does it? Is there a mime type associated with docbook?
Bug 356275 is a language spec file for gtksourceview, which works with the docbook mimetype.
Created attachment 73238 [details] DocBook snippets file Updated version of the file -- I'd forgotten to put ID attributes in each snippet element.
Jesse -- the language spec file for DocBook this bug depends on is now in CVS.

Long Tag
Why this one uses Capitalized description while the other not? Apart from that I guess it's fine to commit, you are the docbook user so if it's good for you it's definately better than not having snippets at all.
(In reply to comment #6) >
Long Tag
> > Why this one uses Capitalized description while the other not? I think it's because it's one of the tags I copied from the snippets for plain XML. > Apart from that I guess it's fine to commit, you are the docbook user so if > it's good for you it's definately better than not having snippets at all. OK. I'll standardize the capitalization and then commit. Apart from adding the file, what else do I need to do?
just add it in Makefile.am. snippets do not contain translatable strings as far as I know. (Note that you have to wait for the cvs -> svn migration to be over before committing)
I've updated the file (all lowercase, as the XML tags themselves are lowercase too, and other snippet families are in lowercase). Committed.
