GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 356908
Selecting "Standard Unix mbox spool or directory" expects a file not a folder
Last modified: 2006-10-11 07:39:54 UTC
Please describe the problem: I am trying to set up an mbox folder in thunderbird format for import into evolution. When trying to add an account in the mbox format the configuration presents a single input. This input should be a folder selector, instead it is a file selector. As the mbox format is a folder generally and can have multiple subsequent child folders this Path configuration option (which by the very name suggests what it should be) should allow the user to select a folder, however upon clicking open on a folder it does not select the folder. It opens the folder within the file selector and open only works on files. Because of this the following account types are completely useless; MH-format mail directories (also requires a folder path, not a file) Maildir-format mail directories (also requires a folder path, not a file) Standard Unix mbox spool or directory (as stated) As a result I cannot import mail from a thunderbird client that was running on a windows PC Steps to reproduce: Actual results: Expected results: Instead of a file selector dialog having an open action, the select folder action should be used instead Does this happen every time? Other information:
Created attachment 73094 [details] [review] Proposed patch to evolution/mail/mail-config.glade Simple to change, although I'm not that familiar with evolution I believe this is the correct place to fix this.
I have tested the proposed patch I attached in situe and now I can select a folder, however even after selecting the folder I cannot proceed forward in the account configuration.
This is a duplicate of bug 352346. The patch in bug 352346 works for me.
