GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 356013
Contacts added while 'Compose Message' is open are unavailable
Last modified: 2006-09-14 21:18:48 UTC
Any contacts added while the Compose Message window is open are not available when selecting the To: button (click here for the address book). Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select New (Compose a new mail message) 2. Write the email, etc. 3. Select the To: button to add a contact and realize the contact is no in the list. 4. Close the 'Select Contact from Address Book' window 5. Select the Contacts button on the main Evolution program window 6. Select New (Create a new contact) 7. Enter the contact with the desired information and click OK which will close the Contact Editor window 8. Select the To: button on the Compose Message window to add the new contact and realize it's not listed Expected Results: When clicking the To: button on the Compose Message window the new contact should be available in the list. Actual Results: When clicking the To: button on the Compose Message window the new contact is not in the list. Additional Info: If you open a new (Compose a new mail message) and select the To: button the Contact will be in the list yet even after doing this if you click on the To: of that original message it still displays the old list (unrefreshed data) This makes me believe that the To: button function does an initial grab of the contact info once and reuses the data list the next time the To: button is pressed instead of doing a fresh grab of the data. The only way to refresh that old list is to use the search function (which does a fresh data grab)
