It looks like it is currently impossible to select anything that is not text in Evince (correct me if I'm wrong). 

It would be very useful if selecting and copying images would be possible (as is possible, albeit in a very buggy way, in Adobe Reader).

Thanks for reporting this issue. This problem is already tracked in our system, but feel free to suggest a patch and submit any other bug you'll find.
