GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 354948
gray maps 16 bit precision
Last modified: 2006-09-08 11:44:21 UTC
As in other image manipulation programs, gimp should be an 16 bit precision gray color maps. 16 bit paletized images could be supported too. I'm working in a plugin to load satellite images into gimp, but image data need more precision that gimp supplies, and to colorize image regions i have thinked to transform into a indexed one, as in the photoshop. Thanks to the gimp team for all!!
