Description Toni Heinonen 2006-09-01 09:33:40 UTC
Distribution: Ubuntu 6.06 (dapper)
Package: Evolution
Severity: Normal
Version: GNOME2.14.3 unspecified
Gnome-Distributor: Ubuntu
Synopsis: Crash in new mail composer when expanding e-mail from contacts
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Mailer
Bugzilla-Version: unspecified
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.14.1)
Description:
Description of the crash:
I've bumped into this problem before: when I compose a new mail message
and I just type the first name of the recipient, I continue typing the
e-mail and when, after a second or two, evolution tries to expand the
name from contacts, it crashes. Especially, I believe the contact has to
be someone from your Exchange server ("Global Catalog"?).

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. Compose a new mail message
2. Type the miscellaenous name of someone from the Exchange server to
the recipient field
3. Wait a few seconds

Expected Results:
E-mail expanded, mail composing continues

How often does this happen?
Pretty often
