If I make an all-day event recurring, I can save it, but then I cannot make changes to it. Even just trying to rename the event gives me a dialog saying "Object ID already exists".

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.
This bug is fixed in CVS HEAD and will be fixed in 2.8.0, see bug 341691.
