Description Oded Arbel 2006-08-30 13:48:57 UTC
The problem is that if a user switches to a different keyboard layout/group then the one used to type the password, before the screensaver starts, then when the screen lock dialog comes up, there is no way for the user to know which language is being typed (with the password obscured by '*' signs and all).

Other information:
Other screensaver implementations do present a keyboard layout hint or even a layout switcher similar to the panel keyboard indicator to allow the user to verify her current input language and change it if needed.
