GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 353180
gnumeric dies on manage sheets
Last modified: 2006-09-06 19:04:24 UTC
I have a rather big gnumeric file with 13 sheets. I wanted to move the last sheet (named DAS) up to the second position. I right-click on the DAS sheet tab, select 'Manage sheets...', click few times 'Up' button, scroll the sheet list, and finally make the sheet being second in the list. Now 'OK'. In the tabs panel 'DAS' sheet appears second last. Hm... What is on the second place? I try to scroll tabs with an arrow left to the tabs panel, click on it. gnumeric thinks few seconds, and silently dies. I can move the sheet by drag-n-droping the tab of the sheet in the tabs panel. $ uname -a FreeBSD chu.h33.erkki.ton.tut.fi 6.1-STABLE FreeBSD 6.1-STABLE #2: Wed Aug 2 20:20:38 EEST 2006 root@chu.h33.erkki.ton.tut.fi:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/CHU i386 gnome-2.14 from fresh ports, gnumeric-1.7.0 from marcuscom experimental ports. I'm going to attach the file to the report.
Well, the file is too big for attachment, I put it for a while on http://h33.erkki.ton.tut.fi/~chu/tmp/manage_sheets_death.gnumeric
I'm pretty sure this is a dupe of bug 349255. (I see no problems with current CVS.) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 349255 ***
Unrelatedly, the file at http://h33.erkki.ton.tut.fi/~chu/tmp/manage_sheets_death.gnumeric is not gzip compressed as gnumeric files normally are.
(In reply to comment #3) > Unrelatedly, the file at > http://h33.erkki.ton.tut.fi/~chu/tmp/manage_sheets_death.gnumeric is not gzip > compressed as gnumeric files normally are. I often use cvs or svn to store versions of files. Text format is more suitable for that. But you are right, for the bugreport I was to use standard compressed format... And thanks for finding a duplicate, I missed that.
