Description Matthew Good 2006-08-23 03:39:27 UTC
Please add "application/vnd.emusic-emusic_package" to the "safe" mime types.

eMusic.com uses ".emp" files to open its download manager for downloading songs or full albums. Since Epiphany doesn't recognize the mime type, so it considers them "unsafe" and won't automatically open the registered application.

Is there a bug filed at bugs.freedesktop.org for adding this mimetype to the freedesktop mime database?

No, but I can open one if it's appropriate. I'm working on a new GNOME eMusic client and was adding the MIME information to the database in the install process.

Yes, please open a bug there, and add a link to this bug, just for reference.
We can still add the type to epiphany immediately without waiting for fdo, of course.

Ok, a bug has been filed on fd.o:

This is fixed in cvs already.
