GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 352124
Tab easily moved inadvertantly
Last modified: 2012-09-05 14:31:16 UTC
With the new tab drag'n drop, I often move tabs unintentionnaly. It's quite easy to replicate (at least for me :) ): With 6 tabs open, last tab selected, do the following actions quicly: left click on first tab, release mouse button, move mouse to the right. Doing this quickly probably means movement starts before mouse button is released, which means tab is dragged over a few pixel distance. Sometimes I'm able to move the first tab to the last position. More frequently, tab is moved to the second position. It looks like tab drag doesn't end on button release, but after selected page is refreshed.
Hmmm I had to do some tricks to reproduce this. Can't find a property or something in gtk 2.10 to avoid this... maybe your fingers are too fast :P. Most probably a bug in gtk+?
I think this is fixed right now.
This issue is still there with epiphany 2.16.1.
I think that you should click slower :). I reproduced it again but clicking and releasing the click very fast. I insist that this seems like a GTK+ bug.
Oh, sorry, that's the first time I'm doing this sort of bug manipulation. I'm deleting #363125.
I'm not able to reproduce this issue anymore (gtk 3.4.4).
