Stack trace resembles bug 348455. Are you able to reproduce the problem reliably?
no, not reliably at all. it seems to be random - see other bugs reported by me :)
Looking at the stack trace a bit closer, it's almost certainly the same problem, and the fix for bug 348455 will at least stop it crashing when whatever is happening here happens. I suspect this might be a hardware problem, or maybe filesystem damage on your ipod. Thanks for the bug report.
