In the gtkmm book, section "Generating the .defs files." in Appendix H. Wrapping C Libraries:

"This .defs files describes enum types and their possible values. It is generated by the enums.pl script ..."

This utility is called enum.pl not enums.pl in reality. This is a patch to fix it because it is a bit confusing if you search for it in the glib sources.
